Missoula is a great little city in Montana. Unfortunately, we chose to visit downtown on the Sunday of Labor Day weekend, so the whole town shut down around 3:00. We definitely didn’t get to see the city in all of its glory, but it had a good vibe about it. I want to go back and float down the river in an old tire like so many people were doing!

Sadly, there was a big squaredance event in West Yellowstone over Labor Day weekend so no one was dancing while we were there. :(

free laundry! we soon came to find out that this place was a great value: showers, laundry, wifi, and tent site with electric for $15! prices closer to the West Coast are $20–30 for primitive camping with one shared vault toilet. :( boo for expensive tent camping.

The Clark Fork River made Missoula a pretty awesome river city! People were swimming and floating in the clear (but cold) water all day.
